39 Belgrade Avenue
Roslindale, MA
Architect: Emmanuel Tripodakis
Date of renovations by Lambrian Construction: 1989
Originally a furniture warehouse, the building was bought by the Greek Diocese in 1976 and opened as St. Nectarios Church in 1977. At first, the upper level of the building was used as the church, but the ceiling was low and it was not in the tradition of Greek Orthodox architecture. In 1989, the renovations executed by Lambrian Construction were undertaken to add two domes to the roof and arches to the nave. |
